The PMU Removal Diaries – Volume 1
Inside the World of Permanent Makeup Corrections, Real Client Stories & Expert Advice
Welcome to the first edition of The PMU Removals Diaries – a monthly deep dive into the world of permanent makeup removal and correction. Whether you’ve had a disappointing brow experience, outdated lip blush, or eyeliner that just doesn’t suit you anymore, you’re in the right place.
I’m Rebecca, and I specialise in the art of PMU removals and corrections. With over a decade in the beauty and aesthetics industry and a reputation for tackling some of the most challenging PMU cases, I combine Botched Ink saline removal with laser removal, offering a truly bespoke approach that gets real results. I’m also proud to be an accredited Botched Ink® trainer, mentoring PMU artists across the UK to handle removal safely and ethically.
My business, Changing Faces PMU, is known for not just creating beautiful results – but for fixing what others can’t with a dual removal service using Botched Ink & Laser removal methods.
We see many clients who were advised to “just get laser,” only to be left with patchy, stubborn pigment or unwanted colour shifts like neon orange, grey, or khaki brows. It’s a frustrating journey – and one I deeply understand.
That’s why I started this blog.
Every month, I’ll be sharing real client journeys, case studies, before-and-after images, and myth-busting insights to help you make informed choices. Whether you’re curious about the removal process, feeling anxious about your results, or not sure what’s possible – this space is for you.
What You Can Expect from a Removal Appointment with Me:
1. Honest Advice:
I’ll always give you a realistic idea of what can be achieved, how many sessions may be needed, and whether laser, saline, or a combination is right for you. No pressure. No fluff. Just expert guidance.
2. Bespoke Treatment Plans:
Each client’s skin, pigment, and goals are different. That’s why I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all removal. I assess your case individually to build a safe, effective strategy with your end goal in mind – whether that’s a full removal or prepping for a beautiful correction.
3. Compassionate Support:
Many of my clients come to me feeling embarrassed, angry, or disheartened by previous PMU experiences. I hold space for that. There’s no judgement here – just solutions.
4. Safe, Professional Practice:
I work with medical-grade removal tools, the most reputable products in the industry, and full insurance. I’m trained, accredited, and continuously upskilling to stay at the forefront of PMU removal.
So, whether you’ve had your brows done 10 days ago or 10 years ago, know that you’re not alone – and that it can be fixed!
Stay tuned for next month’s story: a client who came in with brows she really disliked and what we did to rebuild her confidence (and her brows) from scratch.
Until then, if you’re considering removal or have questions, I’d love to chat.
With care,
Rebecca x
