WHAT ARE FAT DISSOLVING INJECTIONS?

This is not a weight-loss treatment and is not intended as an alternative to a balanced diet or regular exercise. It is most suitable for people who are generally happy with their weight but would like to address a particular area of concern.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING TREATMENT?

Before treatment, your practitioner will discuss your medical history, examine the area and explain the proposed procedure, possible results, risks and aftercare.

If treatment is appropriate, the skin will be cleaned and the chosen product will be administered through a series of small injections into the agreed area.

Appointment length and the amount of product required will depend on the size and location of the treatment area. A numbing product may be used where appropriate to help manage discomfort.

HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL I NEED?

The number of sessions required varies according to:

Some clients may require a course of treatments, with suitable healing time between appointments.

RESULTS & RECOVERY

Changes develop gradually as the treated area settles. The timeframe will vary between clients and according to the product and area treated.

Swelling is expected following fat-dissolving injections and can occasionally be significant, particularly beneath the chin. Other possible effects may include:

Tenderness
Bruising
Itching
Firmness or small lumps
Temporary numbness or altered sensation

The duration of these effects varies. Full aftercare instructions will be provided, and you should contact your practitioner if you experience anything unexpected or concerning.

Although the treated fat cells may not return, remaining fat cells can still enlarge if your weight changes. Maintaining a stable weight and healthy lifestyle can therefore help preserve the appearance of your results.
