WHAT HAPPENS DURING TREATMENT?

If you decide to proceed and treatment is considered suitable, the skin will be cleaned and the agreed filler will be carefully injected into the selected area.

The appointment length will depend on the treatment area and complexity of your plan. Some filler products contain lidocaine, and additional comfort measures may be discussed where appropriate.

Please do not apply Emla or another numbing cream unless your practitioner specifically asks you to do so.

DOES DERMAL FILLER HURT?

Everyone experiences injectable treatments differently. You may feel pressure, pinching, stinging or temporary discomfort during the procedure.

RESULTS & RECOVERY

Some change may be visible immediately, but swelling can temporarily alter the appearance of the treated area. The final result should only be assessed once the initial swelling and bruising have settled.

RISKS & COMPLICATIONS

You will be told how to contact your practitioner following treatment. Seek urgent advice if you experience symptoms such as:

Increasing or severe pain
Pale, dusky, blotchy or unusually discoloured skin
Skin that feels unexpectedly cold
Blistering
Any disturbance or loss of vision
Symptoms that feel severe or rapidly worsen

PREPARING FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT
