Real life wedding: Charlotte & John
The getting ready process can be one of the most special parts of a wedding day. It’s the quiet before all the excitement and festivities really kick in. The morning is so often filled with lots of laughs, happy tears and all the anticipation ahead of the ‘I do’s’. For our bride Charlotte, this time was spent with her closest friends and family, in a relaxed and joyful atmosphere…setting the tone for the rest of the day.
The day began in beautiful sunny Sidmouth, where Charlotte and her bridal party gathered for a relaxed morning of pampering. Our makeup artist Jode arrived early to get Charlotte ready with her three bridesmaids, alongside the super talented @elliejenningshairstylist.
Charlotte wanted a soft, romantic style with a natural radiance and a fresh glow and Jode certainly delivered exactly that—enhancing her features while ensuring she felt and looked like the best version of herself. Skin was kept bronzed and glossy, with a classic nude bridal eyeshadow look.
With the final touch of a delicate rose nude lip and a spritz of setting spray, Charlotte was bridal perfection. Meanwhile, the bridesmaids sipped on bubbly and shared heartfelt toasts as they watched her transformation unfold.
Bridesmaids opted for soft rose tones and golden skin to work with their gorgeous blush satin gowns. Jode created all four makeup looks with plenty of time to spare for some more beautiful pre ceremony shots to be taken.
Once the final touches were done, Charlotte stepped into her stunning lace gown—a timeless design with intricate floral detailing and a breath-taking train and veil, which worked so perfectly with her detailed romantic updo.
And just like that, our part is over and it’s off to say the I do’s. The ceremony took place at the stunning Connaught Gardens in Sidmouth where the couple exchanged heartfelt vows.
What a privilege it is to be a part of the getting ready process and to be there on one important days of your life. Creating our brides vision for the day and being part of all the excitement, really does not feel like work at times.
