Microblading, Ombre & Powder PMU Brows

Methods:

Manual method  - is a manual eyebrow tattoo procedure depositing hair like strokes. Suited to younger, dry, normal skins

Machine method - is a better suited for oily, sensitive & mature skins, however all skins types take well to this method

Styles:

Microblading - hair strokes that mimic natural hair strokes.The most natural option.

Combination - mixing hair strokes with soft shading between the hairs or we can focus hairs at the front on the brows and shading blended into the rest of the brow. Great for a little more definition, adapting a shape where the natural brow hairs don't quite blend smoothly into the tattooed hair strokes or for those who like a slightly more defined brow

Ombre - creates a soft shaded brow with a gradient effect towards the front of the brow giving a light soft finish, perfect for all skin types, styles and ages

Powder -  a fully filled in brow, this can range from a soft powdery look to a more dense and bold brow.  This style is better suited for those who like the look of brow make up but don't want to fill them in every day

Having your eyebrows microbladed or shaded is a permanent procedure which fades over time. Some skins may fade the pigment to virtually nothing over a period of years, many other skin types will retain a certain amount permanently.

Colour boost top ups are required every 12-24 months to maintain the brows. Various lifestyle factors influence colour durability e.g. skin type, exposure to the sun, facial treatments that regenerate the skin etc.

Initially the brows appear darker, but fade significantly over a 2 weeks period whilst healing. It is crucial to have a touch up (which is included in the price) between 6-12 weeks after the initial procedure as it is very difficult to predict how the skin will retain the pigment.

We recommend no more than 4/5 colour boost sessions, following this a Refresh & Revive treatment course is suggested.

Its recommended that no more than 4/5 colour boosts are carried out (12-18 months apart), depending on skin type, lifestyle factors and pigment fade. Rebecca will assess your brows accordingly.

Following this a Refresh & Revive course is recommended. This involves lifting some pigment out of the skin using the Botched Ink Saline Pigment Removal.

Simply put we need to make some more room in the skin to implant more pigment to keep your brows looking good. To many colour boost sessions may cause blocky, over saturated brows. You wouldn't keep apply your make up without taking yesterdays off, the same applies with this treatment!

Up to 3 refresh sessions might be required.  Each session must be 8 weeks apart to allow the skin to heal. We must then wait 4 month before we can redo the microblading, the standard colour boost price applies.

The Refresh & Revive treatment will not leave you will no brows, the colour may be slightly faded and make up can be applied to the shape until we can carry out the colour boost session.

Technics and permanent make up has changed a lot over the years and we want to make sure you are aware of the maintenance involved with microblading.

This ensures your brows remain the best can be and your skin stays in good condition!

The healing process can affect your lifestyle for up to 14 days as activities that can cause sweat must be avoided. Brow make up must be avoided along with any make up removers, creams or serums and the area must be kept as clean and dry as possible.

Microblading & shading is suitable for most people particularly those:

• Who are looking to enhance their brows or achieve greater definition, shape and a flawless long lasting finish
• Who have very little hair, perhaps from over plucking, illness, or scars and uneven hair growth
• People with alopecia
• People who have little time to apply make up
• Those with poor eyesight or unsteady hand
• For medical purposes after hair loss from medications, cancer treatment or surgery

You cannot be treated if:

• You are under 18
• You have uncontrolled diabetes
• You are pregnant or breastfeeding
• You have glaucoma or taking blood thinning medicines (e.g. aspirin, warfarin - dependent on dosage)
• You have skin diseases such as psoriasis or eczema near the brow area
• You have transmittable blood conditions like HIV or Hepatitis
• You have haemophilia
• You have healing disorders or uncontrolled high blood pressure
• You are on any skin medication such as Accutane or steroids
• You have active skin cancer on or near the brows
• You are currently undergoing radiotherapy or chemotherapy or have done within the last 6 weeks
• You have epilepsy
• You have a pacemaker or major heart problems
• You have had Botox in the past month
• You have very oily skin & enlarged pores (blading & shading/ combination brows is recommended)
•  Extremely thin, mature skin (can be assessed at consultation)

Rebecca is happy to work on other technicians work for annual colour boosts and corrective work. Consultation is compulsory and more than 1 session maybe required.

Its always a good idea to return to your existing brow technician as they know your brow history, pigment and how they have worked on your skin. Rebecca cannot guarantee perfect results working over other techs brows.

The treatment is perfectly safe, the pigments are all pharmaceutical grade and are hypoallergenic and regulated. Only new sterile blades are used for each Client. A patch test is required at least 24 hours prior to the treatment to ensure no allergic reactions.

Rebecca offers a consultation for £20 , this is then deducted from the treatment cost if you decide to go ahead.

During the consultation we will discuss your expectations and assess what can be achieved with your brows and which method/ style will be best. We run through a full medical assessment to ensure that there are no contraindications to the treatment.  Patch tests for all of the products used is carried out.

We have an in-depth chat about what happens at each session,  we browse existing work and also run through how aftercare is so important in maintaining your brows.

It is important for you to be 100% confident with your decision to proceed.

A topical anaesthetic cream is used prior to the procedure which can be topped up throughout making it relatively painless.

There are some sensations, mainly a little scratchy and then some stinging a warmth following application of the pigment and 2nd anaesthetic.

Most people rate the pain well under a 5 when asked after treatment.

SHAPING

The mapping is the first thing carried out at your appointment and really is THE most crucial thing.

This is an extremely thorough and exact process, the shape is mapped to each individual face structure and features to ensure the right length, arch and style.

Various measuring tools are used to perfect symmetry and the perfect shape for YOUR face. Its not something picked from a catalogue or you bringing in a picture of some celebrity you like, this is bespoke to you to ensure its enhances your face and features!

NO fashion brows, stencils or branded looks!

I do not go anywhere near you with the microblade until i have shown you this, explained why it is this way and you are happy.

PIGMENT

Each pigment is selected and mixed to suit each individuals skin tone and undertone and chosen to blend perfectly with any actual hair or look gorgeously natural if you have little to none.

Whether you are fair, redhead, light to darkest brown we can mix a shade for you.

The Doreme pigments used are clean, reliable and long lasting.

Includes: Consultation, 1st session & 2nd top up session within 8-12 weeks

Shading added to microblading - additional £45

*Payments are made in 3 instalments over each session -Consultation £20, deposit £60, £100, £100. The price includes the 8-12 week top up as long as it falls within this time, after that the annual colour boost price applies 

Some Clients with certain skin types, medications and lifestyle factors may require an additional top up session which would be £75 within 12 weeks of the last session

To maintain the colour and shape annual colour boost sessions are required:

• Within 6 months £80
• Within 7 - 18 months £130
• After 18 months £130 plus additional session required £50
