Double Award Win at the Southwest Beauty & Aesthetics Awards 2026

best brow master and pmu artists in the south west 2026
I’m still slightly in shock writing this, but this weekend I had the incredible honour of winning two awards at the Southwest Beauty & Aesthetics Awards 2026 — Best Brow Master PMU 2026 and SPMU Artist of the Year 2026.
The awards ceremony took place at the beautiful Winslade Manor, and after more than a decade working within permanent makeup, it was such a special moment to have my work recognised within the industry.
And in true me fashion, there was also a slightly hilarious moment when the first winner was announced simply as “Rebecca” — no surname, no business name — and I immediately shot out of my chair and headed for the stage! Thankfully, it actually was me. Perhaps I was manifesting it a little too enthusiastically!
Winning Best Brow Master PMU means so much to me because brows have been at the heart of my work for many years. Permanent makeup is never about creating the same brow on every person. It’s about looking at the individual in front of me — their features, skin, existing hair, lifestyle and what will work naturally for them.
A large part of my work also involves clients whose cases aren’t necessarily straightforward. I regularly work with previous permanent makeup, colour corrections, removal journeys, mature or difficult skin, alopecia and clients who simply need a little more care and consideration when planning their treatment.
To then also receive SPMU Artist of the Year 2026 was incredibly special.
I started working in permanent makeup in 2013, but the Changing Faces name itself has been part of the beauty industry for around 40 years. Over that time, my work has continued to evolve, from brows and eyeliner to lip blush, permanent makeup removal and correction work.
I’ve always believed that good permanent makeup shouldn’t simply look impressive immediately after treatment. It needs to be considered carefully, heal well and work for the person wearing it long-term.
Awards are never the reason I do what I do, but I’d be lying if I said recognition like this doesn’t mean a huge amount. When you’ve worked in an industry for many years, you can still question yourself, compare yourself to others or wonder whether you’re doing enough. Having your work independently recognised gives you one of those moments where you stop and think, actually, I’m really proud of what I’ve built.
Most importantly, none of this would exist without the people who continue to trust me with their faces.
To every client who has booked with me, recommended me, returned year after year, left a review or trusted me with a complicated correction or removal journey, thank you.
And a huge thank you to the Southwest Beauty & Aesthetics Awards for an amazing evening and for recognising my work.
Two awards. One very happy — and still slightly stunned — PMU artist.
