What is Botched Ink?

Botched Ink® is a gentle yet concentrated hypertonic saline solution for tattoo removal.  When it’s implanted into skin the area dries out.  If the skin contains tattoo pigment this will dry out too, lifting and removing the pigment during the skins natural healing process.

Benefits:

✔️ Suitable for all pigment colours (especially warm or stubborn tones like red, pink yellow & orange)
✔️ Ideal for lightening pigment before laser removal
✔️ Works well on sensitive areas like eyebrows, lips, and eyeliner
✔️ Helps to correct pigment migration and uneven saturation
✔️ Less risk of scarring when done correctly
✔️ Safe for all skin types with proper aftercare

Read more about how it work in our -  Info Leaflet

So how do you actually lighten the tattoo?

The area is numbed beforehand to help make the process as comfortable as possible and then Botched Ink® is soaked into the area to be treated, with skin opened up in a light skin needling type action.

A treatment appointment is 60 minutes, which includes anaesthetic development time, a consultation can be held on the same day prior to the treatment as no patch test is required. (As long as there is no known allergy to aloe vera)

Video call Consultations can also be held.

Some of the Benefits of using Botched Ink® for tattoo removal

Gentle during treatment:  Botched Ink® pH closely resembles healthy skin, meaning only a mild sting which disappears very quickly.  The formula includes Aloe Vera which really helps the solution soak into the skin, without needing to over traumatise you or your skin

Quickly dries skin, forming a thin scab:  Skin treated with Botched Ink® starts to dry out within the first few hours.  For you this means minimal inflammation and associated risk of scarringplus minimal risk of infection

Tattoos can look better during healing:  Many clients worry what they’ll look like during healing, the answer when using Botched Ink® is the treated area usually looks better.  Unwanted grey or orange brows will look shades of brown during the healing process, so you’re likely to get complimented on your new eyebrows for a few days!

After 48 hours you can shower and use aftercare:  When treated skin is fully dried you can begin using the prescribed aftercare serum, this makes scabbing and healing more pleasant

What is Laser Tattoo Removal?

Laser technology targets pigment particles, breaking them down so the body can naturally eliminate them.
✔️ Fast and effective for deeper, more saturated pigments
✔️ Best for cool tones like black & grey
✔️ Speeds up the overall removal process when combined with saline
✔️ Safe for most skin types with proper aftercare

What Happens at a Laser PMU Removal Appointment?

Consultation & Patch Test: Before your first treatment, we’ll discuss your goals, assess your PMU, and determine if laser removal is the right option for you. A patch test will be performed to check how your skin reacts to the laser and what remaining colours will be visible.
Preparing for Treatment: Your skin will be cleansed, and protective eyewear will be provided. A cooling device or numbing cream may be applied for comfort, though the treatment is usually tolerable.
Laser Removal Process: The laser targets the pigment in your PMU, breaking it down into tiny particles that your body will gradually flush out through the lymphatic system. The sensation can feel like a snapping rubber band, but it’s quick, with sessions typically lasting 10–20 minutes.
Aftercare & Healing: Immediately after treatment, you may notice slight redness, swelling, or frosting (a temporary white reaction on the skin/ brow hairs). These effects usually subside within a few hours to a couple of days. You’ll receive detailed aftercare instructions to promote healing, including avoiding sun exposure and keeping the area clean.

How These Methods Work Together

Using both techniques allows me to customize your removal journey. Some Clients just require Botched Ink, other including laser, here is a potential treatment plan:
  • Step 1: Consultation & laser patch test
  • Step 2: Saline Removal(s) – Lightens and lifts excess pigment, bringing historical pigment closer to the surface of the skin and softening tricky tones (yellow, pink, red, orange) that are resistant to laser.
  • Step 3: Laser Treatment(s) – If required, further breaks down remaining pigment for a more complete removal.
  •  Step 4: Saline Removal(s) – Lightens and lifts any excess pigment that may not be able to be removed with laser.
  • Step 5: Healing & Touch-Ups – Tailored aftercare and corrective work if desired.

How much does Removal cost?

Removal Consultation £20

£80 per session of either Botched Ink or Laser removal

Laser Removals also available for Scalp Micropigmentation  - please contact for a quote depending on size of the area.

How many sessions will I need?

PMU removal is a process, and multiple sessions are usually required, depending on many factors, not limited to: pigment type & depth, colour, skin type, age and integrity. It also depends on your result expectation to how many we might need to carry out.
It is recommended that you mentally and financially commit to a course of a minimum of 3 treatments, 8 weeks apart to allow proper healing, so potentially across a 6 month period.

That’s not promising the pigment will be gone in 3 treatments, (it could on some rare cases be less!) but we will know how easily the pigment is removing to discuss how to proceed, with further sessions.

EMERGENCY REMOVAL

Have you just had your brows microbladed, or some form of permanant make up on them and really dont like them? Don't panic!

Most of the fear is just because they are darker and bolder before they have healed into the skin, so please speak to the tech that did them first. However, if you are certain you want them removed I can help.

You must have an emergency removal session within 48 hours of having the PMU and scabbing must not have started.

We would need to do a video call consultation first (which can be carried out out of hours) and i will do my absolute best to fit you in within the 48 hour window, even it means coming in early or popping you onto the end of one of my days, please contact the studio direct on 07860 510767.
