Deleux Dermaplaning £60 (with extra massage & Eve Taylor products)
Dermaplaning is a simple and safe procedure for exfoliating and ridding the skin of fine vellus hair (peach fuzz). It has been used for many years and has recently become popular as a celebrity must-have treatment.
What are the benefits?
The build up of dead skin and microscopic hairs can make your complexion appear dull, flaky, and can even cause breakouts due to clogged pores and hair follicles.
Dermaplaning can be used on all skin types and especially for those with rough, dry skin, mild acne scarring, or fine lines and wrinkles. However, since the procedure requires use of a sharp scalpel, those with enflamed acne should pass on it until their complexion clears up. (There are some contraindications which will be discussed prior to the treatment)
Great treatment for pregnant (or nursing) Clients who want a deep exfoliation, but are not allowed to use peeling agents on their skin.
What happens during the treatment?
The skin is cleansed and a hot towel applied to the skin, then using a scalpel and a delicate touch, we simply abrade the surface of the skin using light feathering strokes. A skin specific mask is applied along with a serum or moisturiser.
The treatment lasts approx. 45 minutes and is completely painless.
Won’t my hairs grow back darker & thicker?
Although merely an old wives’ tale, many people are often concerned that the hair will grow back heavier and darker after dermaplaning. This is not the case. As long as the hair is superficial vellus hair, it will grow back at the same rate and texture as before the treatment. This has been proven within clinic al records have been recorded on a regular basis.
Is there any aftercare?
Dermaplaning is a quick procedure with few to no adverse effects, sensitive skins may experience some light redness, it’s perfectly fine to have it done on your lunch break and go back to work, although it’s advisable not to wear make up on the skin for 12-24 hours and to wear a good SPF if you are going to be out in the sunshine.

The results can last up to four weeks.
The procedure removes three weeks of dead skin cells, so your glow will last all month long but since your skin is always growing, you'll need to schedule an appointment every month or so to maintain your results.
Don't try this at home!
Since dermaplaning is performed with surgical scalpels (not your average razor), you should leave it to the pros.
